Over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, heavy rainfall is predicted to fall in isolated areas. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit- Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep. Winds of 40 to 45 kmph with gusts to 55 kmph are expected to be squally across the southeast Arabian Sea, as well as the nearby Lakshadweep region, Kerala coast, and Comorin area. It is not recommended for fishermen to enter these places.
Tamil Nadu and Kerala are on alert
