Weather Update: As per the India Meteorological Department’s latest report, the northern peninsula, central India, and neighbouring East India are expected to witness active monsoon conditions over the next four days. Additionally, Maharashtra is likely to encounter intensified rainfall, including occasional heavy showers, starting from today and lasting until September 8. However, Delhi is forecast to continue with its hot & humid conditions.
In South India, rainfall is expected to be light to moderate, with occasional heavy showers in various areas. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, and northern interior Karnataka are likely to be affected by this weather pattern today. Rainfall is also anticipated in Karaikal, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu until tomorrow as well, as per the IMD.
Furthermore, isolated to scattered rainfall and thunderstorms are forecasted for Northwest India. Isolated heavy rainfall has been forecast in West Uttar Pradesh today, East Uttar Pradesh on September 6 and 7, East Rajasthan until Saturday, and Uttarakhand on September 8 and 9.
Delhi
Delhi has been predicted to remain mostly sunny the entire day. However, the sky will turn partly cloudy in the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 56%.
Mumbai
Mumbai has been forecast to remain mostly cloudy. Some regions are likely to experience showers while thunderstorms will lash the region from tomorrow onwards. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees with humidity at 79%.
Chennai
As per the latest weather update, Chennai has been predicted to remain engulfed in clouds today. However, some regions are expected to receive periodic rains and thunderstorms as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 80%.
Kolkata
IMD has predicted continuous rains and clouds over the city. Scattered thunderstorms will continue to drench the city. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 89%.
