Weather Update: According to the Indian Metrological Department (IMD), the south of Peninsular India is predicted to continue to experience severe rains over the next days. The majority of Northwest and Central India is predicted to see dry weather, according to the weather department’s most recent forecast.
Several southern states, including Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, and Kerala, are expected to see very severe rainfall.
In the coming 48 hours, weather conditions are projected to improve enough for the Southwest Monsoon to leave even more of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand, as well as sections of interior Odisha and all of West Bengal.
Delhi
For this day, the area around the national capital will be clear. The same trend, though, will likely continue for a few days. Mornings and evenings are already starting to feel rather chilly. Rain today is not likely to occur.
Mumbai
The rains have already waterlogged the city, while, for today, isolated rains is predicted. The sky will also remain cloudy for today. For a couple of days more, thunderstorms will keep on striking the city and its suburbs.
Chennai
Heavy rains are predicted for the city with very less chance of sunlight today. However, this trend in the weather will continue for a few days more.
Heavy Rainfall with thunderstorms likely over
Numerous areas of Maharashtra’s interior, as well as Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry, may experience isolated thunder. Similarly, in Pune as well, heavy rains had caused severely waterlogged the streets while also uprooted the trees. Heavy rains are likely over Lakshadweep and coastal Kerala as well.
