Weather Update: Amidst the ongoing monsoon challenges and landslide occurrences in the hill states, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the upcoming five days. According to the IMD, these hill states, encompassing Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, are expected to experience sporadic episodes of intense rainfall over the next five days. Apart from these, similar rainfall alert has also been issued for Odisha, West Bengal, and Chattisgarh.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in certain regions including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, and Sikkim. Scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms are anticipated in Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, and Coastal Karnataka.
Delhi
Delhi is forecast to remain mostly sunny and humid throughout the day. However, partly cloudy conditions are likely in the region during the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees while humidity will be at 69%.
Mumbai
Mumbai and its suburbs are forecast to experience scattered showers throughout the day. Lightning and Thunderstorms are predicted in the isolated regions. No change in weather conditions is likely until the weekend. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees while humidity will be at 87%.
Chennai
IMD has forecast Chennai to remain partly cloudy throughout the day. However, the conditions are projected to be mostly hot & humid. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees while humidity will be at 68%.
Kolkata
As per the latest weather update, Kolkata is not going to get relief today either. Thunderstorms and intense rainfall are projected to lash the region throughout. No change is foreseen for the next week as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees while humidity will be at 91%.
