Weather Update: As per the weather forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), India can expect light to moderate rainfall, along with isolated episodes of heavy to very heavy rainfall in various parts, continuing until September 27. According to the most recent advisory, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to persist over the next 48 hours in Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Northeast India. Following this period, a reduction in rainfall is anticipated.
The IMD has additionally forecasted light to moderate rainfall in various regions, such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north-central Karnataka, and Rayalaseema, with the possibility of isolated heavy downpours in these areas. In Northwest India, there is an expectation of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, particularly in Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh, where isolated heavy showers may occur.
Delhi
The national capital is predicted to remain mostly sunny. There could be partial cloud cover in some regions. Similar weather conditions have been forecast for the whole week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 25 degrees with humidity at 79%.
Mumbai
IMD has predicted that Mumbai and its suburbs will experience isolated thunderstorms in the morning. However, the day will then mostly remain mostly cloudy. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 89%.
Chennai
As per the latest weather update, Chennai will experience rainfall until noon. There will be some reduction thereafter, but clouds will predominate. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 73%.
Kolkata
Thundershowers will lash Kolkata the entire day. There would be some relief during the afternoon, though. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 92%.
