Weather Update: Multiple regions across India are expected to witness dynamic weather conditions in the upcoming days. Widespread rain and thunderstorms, along with isolated heavy falls, are forecasted to impact Kerala, coastal Karnataka, Goa, coastal Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
From June 11 to June 13, certain pockets in Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal may experience heatwave to severe heatwave conditions. Similarly, Odisha and Jharkhand can expect these conditions from June 11 to June 12. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh will encounter similar conditions today. On June 10, heatwave conditions are anticipated over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Andhra Pradesh.
Along the coastlines, coastal Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu are likely to encounter scattered rain and thunderstorms, providing relief from the prevailing hot weather patterns. Moving to the northern regions, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may observe isolated rain and thunderstorms, resulting in sporadic rainfall and occasional thunderstorm occurrences. Meanwhile, Jammu-Kashmir, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic-West Bengal, and Odisha can expect isolated instances of rain and thunderstorms.
Delhi
The weekend is predicted to remain sunny and warm in the national capital. No relief is likely for a few days more in the region. The sky will remain clear and the temperature will remain higher. For today, the maximum temperature will be 42 degrees while the minimum will be 31 degrees with the humidity at 28%.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs are predicted to remain mostly cloudy throughout the day. This trend in weather will continue for a few days more with rainfall and scattered thunderstorms throughout the day beginning tomorrow. The maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 29 degrees with the humidity at 79%.
Chennai
IMD has forecast Chennai to remain mostly clear. However, some patches of clouds are likely during the evening. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 37 degrees while the minimum will be 29 degrees. Meanwhile, the humidity will be at 77%.
Kolkata
Kolkata is projected to have a mostly cloudy day along with rainfalls lashing the city during the evening hours. The day will rather be pleasant throughout the day. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 38 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees with humidity standing at 87%.
