Weather Update: A fresh western disturbance is expected to arrive over the Western Himalayas in the evening of February 18th and is predicted to persist until February 21st, affecting weather across the mountainous region. The greatest impact of this weather system is likely to occur in Jammu & Kashmir, followed by Himachal Pradesh, and less over Uttarakhand.
This western disturbance will induce a cyclonic circulation over parts of Punjab and Rajasthan, leading to a change in wind patterns across the plains of North India. Consequently, the weather conditions in these parts are likely to twist. The foothills and adjacent areas may experience light rainfall. The change in wind pattern is also anticipated to increase the minimum temperatures across the plains. However, Mumbai is also getting warmer day by day. The average temperature has increased by over 5 degrees.
