Weather Update: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), North India is projected to continue experiencing hot conditions. It is predicted by IMD’s forecast prediction that the Southwest Monsoon would continue to expand into western India. In its most recent Mumbai weather report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted a partly overcast sky with a chance of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in Mumbai. According to IMD’s most recent forecast, the heatwave that is expected to persist throughout Tuesday in Delhi-NCR will not provide any relief from the extreme heat. The same conditions are expected in Patna as well.
The Lucknow Meteorological Department has forecast the probability of rain in various sections of the state on June 18, thus there is some relief in store for the people of Lucknow. Mumbai is expected to see a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 26 degrees Celsius.

IMD forecasts extremely high rainfall for Meghalaya and Assam. In West Bengal and Sikkim, there has been substantial to extremely heavy rainfall, with incredibly severe precipitation in isolated areas. It also forecasts heavy to extremely high rainfall in certain areas over the states of Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. The IMD reports that Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala are experiencing significant rains in certain areas. In most of Uttar Pradesh, a few areas of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Bihar, heat waves to severe heat waves are expected. There are heat wave conditions in certain areas of Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Andhra Pradesh.
