Weather Update: North India has already begun to see the severe effects of the cold just before the new year. In various parts of the nation, including the capital Delhi, the amount of cold and chill is rising. The next three days will see a cold wave, according to the Meteorological Department, which will affect Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Two days before the new year, there will be a very modest temperature rise. The cold will get worse with the new year, though.
The Meteorological Department has stated that Delhi and the neighbouring areas will see the effects of chilly winds blowing from the north and north-west in the new year. From the mountains to the plains, winter is showing its effect everywhere. People are using bonfires to stay warm and prevent cold, fog, and cold waves in various parts of the nation.
Delhi
The coldwave will show its prowess today as well. The effect of fog and winds have been so high that many records of yesteryears have been broken. Today will be similar as well. The maximum temperature will be 19 degrees while the minimum will be 7 degrees.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs will continue their run of pleasant days as sun is predicted to shine well in Mumbai today. Humidity too will be on moderate numbers as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 22 degrees.
Chennai
IMD predicts that Chennai will get a relief from rainfall for a few days. The weather is likely to be on a pleasant note as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees.
Kolkata
As per the latest weather update, Kolkata will have a sunny day. Though, the weather will be chilly in comparison to last few days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 27 degrees while the minimum will be 15 degrees.
