Weather Update: The previous several weeks have seen a severe cold wave affect North India. After 24 hours, the cold wave conditions across the plains of northwest India are projected to subside, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). During the following 24 hours, dense to extremely dense fog conditions are expected across numerous areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh; the intensity and distribution will thereafter diminish.
A little rain is expected throughout Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday and Thursday, adding to the cold. While significant snowfall is anticipated in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, Delhi is predicted to endure precipitation on Wednesday and Thursday.
Delhi
According to the agency, the sky in the National Capital will be clear all day. But a thick fog is anticipated in the morning. Minimum and maximum temperatures in Delhi are predicted to range from 5 degrees Celsius to 19 degrees Celsius.
Mumbai
According to IMD, Mumbai may have minor haze but the day will mostly be bright. It is anticipated that the sky will be clear and continue to be so for several days to come. Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures are 31 degrees and 20 degrees, respectively.
Chennai
The weather in Chennai will be quiet and serene today as it continues its pleasant run. There are no probabilities of rain in the city in the following days, and the sky will remain clear. Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 29 and 22, respectively.
Kolkata
The trend of Kolkata’s low temperatures is expected to continue. However, given the day is expected to be bright, the coldwave won’t have a significant impact on the people. Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures are predicted to be 26 and 13 degrees, respectively.

IMD predicts that there may be cold waves and heavy fog in the country’s northern regions as a result of western disturbances in northwestern Pakistan and the Western Himalayas.
