Weather Update: Mild cold has gotten worse in many North Indian states, including Delhi-NCR, since the month of December began. The southern states are still in the rainy season at the same time. Pollution appears to be getting worse in Delhi as the temperature drops. According to IMD, a low pressure area has developed over the South Andaman Sea and surrounding regions. This low pressure area is forecast to move in a west-northwest direction inducing rain.
In one or two locations in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, IMD predicts light to moderate rain with heavy rain. Tamil Nadu and Kerala may occasionally get light rain. Many areas of Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh may experience an increase in rain activity starting on December 7 at night, and it may last through December 8.
Delhi
The national capital is predicted to be partially cloudy whilst the fog and hazy visibility continues to dampen the region. However, IMD has also predicted that the weather pattern will continue to remain similar. For today, the maximum temperature will be 25 degrees while the minimum will be 8 degrees.
Mumbai
As per the latest weather update, Mumbai is likely to be mostly cloudy. However, the chances of rain happening are close to nil. The similar weather pattern is likely to stay similar for upcoming few days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai is predicted to be mostly cloudy today. However, heavy rains are predicted in the city from Thursday onwards. Although, today, will be much pleasant as heavy rains will continue to then lash the city for many days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.
Kolkata
Contrasting to many metropolitan cities, Kolkata is likely to be mostly sunny today. No major change is predicted for Kolkata in the latest weather update. Today’s maximum temperature will be 27 degrees while the minmum will be 16 degrees.

Heavy rains are predicted over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated places may occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.
