Weather Update: The weather agency, IMD, issued a warning on Sunday regarding “heavy rain spell over most portions of east and northeast India during the next three-four days” as India prepares to celebrate Dussehra. From Thursday (October 6) onward, for the following two to three days, torrential rains will lash numerous places in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
Rain lashed portions of West Bengal on Sunday, including Kolkata, dampening the joyous atmosphere on Saptami, the second of the four-day Durga Puja celebrations. According to the met department, the trend is anticipated to last till Wednesday.
Delhi
The sky is predicted to remain generally clear. The department has predicted that the weather will take a turn from Wednesday, and heavy rainfall is predicted from then.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs are predicted to have light rains throughout the day. However, isolated areas are also expected to have thunderstorms.
Chennai
The sky is expected to be significantly cloudy today. There are little chances of moderate to scattered rainfall in the city.
West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha
In the latest weather update, IMD has predicted that Odisha will receive light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall. West Bengal and Jharkhand are likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall. This could also spoil the fun of the festival.

North India
There will be no significant change in weather today. The climate will continue to be the same, however, that is predicted to change after the two days. This goes on for Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh.
Northeast India
Up till October 4, 2022, Assam, Meghalaya, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will experience mild to moderate to isolated heavy rains, thunderstorms, and lightning.
South India
In the next two to three days, Andhra, Karnataka, and Telangana are likely to have moderate to isolated heavy rainfalls.
