Weather Update North India wakes up to dense fog; Rains to lash Northeast

Weather Update: Within the next few days, it is very likely that the climate will improve and allow the Southwest Monsoon to further withdraw from the remaining regions of Central India. During the following three days, the monsoon is also likely to depart from a few more areas of Maharashtra, east India, and northeast India.

Notably, the Southwest monsoon has further withdrew from most of Madhya Pradesh, the remaining portions of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat, as well as from some portions of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra. Isolated periods of heavy rain are likely to continue over South Peninsular India over the next five days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Delhi

The weather in national capital region will remain clear with no chances of rain. However, the weather is expected to start being more cold-ish as the monsoon is withdrawing further.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs are predicted to receive moderate spells of rain with thunderstorms. However, the winds are likely to remain gusty for a few more days.

Chennai

For today, the weather will remain partially cloudy with very less chances of rain happening today. However, the weather will take a turn from tomorrow as it is predicted to rain heavily in the city from tonight.

These states are likely to recieve rainfall

Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Lakshadweep are predicted to receive scattered rainfall with thunderstorms as per the latest weather update.

Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathawada, are predicted to recieve isolated rainfall with a chance of lightning.

Dense fog is possible in isolated areas of Northern and Central India early in the morning.
