Weather Update: The southern states, including Tamil Nadu and Kerala, are under an Orange Alert, and the IMD forecast for northwest India is for widespread mild to moderate rainfall. The India Meterological Department forecasts light to moderate rainfall in Madhya Pradesh, including showers in Bhopal, for west and central India. IMD forecasts very widespread to widespread rainfall in east and northeast India,. However, it has predicted significant precipitation in West Bengal, including scattered showers in Kolkata, the state capital.

The India Meteorological Department reports that there will be likely light showers in Delhi-NCR, the country’s capital, with a high temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of about 27 degrees Celsius. The IMD forecast indicates that states like Jharkhand and Bihar are under a zone of high rainfall, with little to no precipitation in each state’s capital, Ranchi and Patna, respectively. According to the most recent Mumbai weather report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a partly cloudy sky with a chance of light rain throughout the city and suburbs on Monday.

The India Meteorological Department predicts that there will be likely heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in some areas of the states of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, there is a chance of heavy rainfall in isolated areas in the states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar. The same has been predicted for Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
