Weather Update: Rain Dance Across India; Heavy Showers Expected in Multiple States, Thunderstorms Loom Large

Weather Update: The weather conditions have been changing significantly across the country. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh are likely to experience light to moderate scattered rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall until August 9. Additionally, Punjab is expected to receive rainfall Saturday with an orange alert in Uttarakhand.

Along with that, heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh is predicted. In Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan-Goa, and Coastal Karnataka, widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected. Meanwhile, Northeast India, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat (region), Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh may experience fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms. For the rest of the country, isolated to scattered rain is likely, along with a possibility of lightning.

Delhi

Another pleasant day is on cards for the national capital. The latest update states that scattered thunderstorms will be present throughout the day. Clouds will be prevalent in the afternoon. However, conditions are likely to change from tomorrow. The maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 86%.

Mumbai

As per the latest update by IMD, the city and its suburbs will remain cloudy throughout the day. Chances of rainfall are very low. The weekend will remain similar as of today. The maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 87%.

Chennai

Chennai is predicted to remain mostly clear throughout the day. However, some clouds might take on the region during the afternoon but rainfall is unlikely. The temperature will range between 35-28 degrees with humidity at 76%.

Kolkata

Scattered thunderstorms along with low to moderate rainfall is likely in the city for today. The weather conditions will become more intense in the upcoming week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 to 27 degrees with humidity at 50%.
