Weather Update: As Holi approaches, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has made forecast about the weather in several regions of India. Delhi is expected to experience a slight increase in temperature, while central and west India can anticipate rainfall.
The festival of colours is set to be celebrated across the country on March 7 and 8. The IMD has issued a warning of thundershowers and hailstorms from Saturday to Wednesday due to two extra-tropical weather systems. In addition, the western Himalayan region may experience isolated to scattered rainfall or snowfall on Saturday and Sunday. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat are expected to see light to moderate thunderstorms from March 4 to 8.
Delhi
The national capital will remain sunny and bright today. IMD forecast that weather trends will be similar to last previous days and there will be no change. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 17 degrees.
Mumbai
Partly overcast sky is predicted over Mumbai for today. As per the latest weather update, the temperature will continue to stay above normal. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai is forecast to remain clear and bright today. IMD has also predicted that no significant change is likely in the weather trends. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 31 degrees and the minimum will be 24 degrees.
Kolkata
Kolkata will also witness similar kind of weather today. The surge in temperature will continue today. The maximum temperature will be 37 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.
