Weather Update: The weather for Delhi and the surrounding areas is expected to be mostly cloudy with a brief period of light rain, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). However, the nation’s capital can face light to moderate showers and thundershowers, as per the predictions. According to IMD estimates, Uttarakhand is expected to have nonstop rain, and the Met Department has anticipated more intense downpours in Dehradun. The Weather Department forecasts moderate rainfall in Lucknow, the state capital, and heavy showers over many other parts of Uttar Pradesh. However, the capital city of Bihar( Patna) and Uttarakhand( Dehradun) are expected to have few spells of rainfall, which can be accompanied with thunderstorms.

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC Mumbai) predicts that there will be partial cloud cover over the city, with a chance of moderate rainfall. However, people may face thunderstorms and strong winds in the city. Mumbai’s low temperature is predicted to be recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, while the city’s maximum temperature is predicted to reach 33 degrees. Furthermore, a yellow alert for heavy rain is in effect for today in some isolated areas of Thane district, according to the IMD. In the meantime, landslides have been caused by the severe rains that have devastated the Northeastern state including Tripura. The death toll from the recent rains and floods in Tripura has increased. This is the first time in more than three decades that the region has seen such devastating monsoon floods.

The India Meteorological Department says that there is a good chance of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas of Gujarat. In certain areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Goa, heavy to extremely high rainfall is predicted by IMD. The Indian Meteorological Department forecast indicates that there will be significant rain in several areas of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Marathwada, Kerala, Telanganaand Karnataka.
