Weather Update: Temperatures to Soar in Delhi, Lucknow and Patna, Check Conditions in Ranchi and Mumbai

Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a heatwave and primarily clear skies for Delhi today. Additionally, the met body has stated that there is a “very likely” chance of sporadic, heavy downpours in some areas of Delhi, along with thundershowers and lightning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts mostly cloudy sky for Mumbai, with the potential for light to moderate rain or thundershowers in the suburbs as well as the city. The monsoon might soon arrive through Dindori and Balaghat, according to IMD Bhopal.

There will be some cloud cover over Chennai, and there may be occasional thunderstorms and lightning. Chennai’s maximum and lowest temperatures today are predicted to be between 37°C to 38°C and 27°C to 28°C, respectively.

The official estimate states that Delhi’s peak temperature will probably reach 46 degrees Celsius. However Mumbai will have cloudy sky with light rain.

According to the IMD, there will likely be isolated areas of extremely high rainfall in West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim and Meghalaya. Additionally there is a possibility of significant rainfall in some areas of Kerala, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, and Manipur. The IMD states that heat waves with severe heatwave conditions are highly likely to occur in parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab. Some parts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand along with their capitals will have heatwave conditions today. There are scattered pockets of heatwave conditions over Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal. However the same is predicted for areas of Himachal Pradesh.
