Weather Update: Rainfall in Delhi; check conditions in Mumbai, Ranchi, Patna

Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange signal for the city, anticipating heavy to extremely heavy rain, thus the Mumbai local body has asked residents to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. Meanwhile, waterlogging and traffic jams were caused by Saturday morning’s rainstorms that hit several areas of Delhi. The rain did, however, provide some relief from the July heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Delhi would have mostly cloudy skies and light rain all day long today.

The Meteorological Department’s Forecast suggests that several Jharkhand and Bihar districts, including Ranchi and Patna, may see heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The IMD is predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall, in some parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka. However they are expected to experience extremely severe precipitation. The India Meteorological Department predicts that there will likely be isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Gujarat, Kerala, Odisha, Nagaland, and Chhattisgarh. Heavy rainfall is expected in some areas of Uttar Pradesh, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Telangana, Karnataka, according to the IMD.

The IMD predicts that Mumbai’s maximum and lowest temperatures would likely hover around 29 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively. Delhi’s highest temperature is probably going to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
