Weather Update: Heavy Rain in Delhi-NCR; Check conditions in Dehradun, Lucknow, Ranchi

Weather Update: According to the weather forecast, there will be intermittent light to moderate rainfall during the next few days in some parts of Delhi NCR. The intermittent rain is likely to worsen commuters’ life and cause gridlock in the streets. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Mumbai has warned that Maharashtra would see heavy to extremely heavy rainfall today. The IMD reaffirmed its red alert for the southern interior and coastal portions of the state due to the continuous, intense rains across multiple Karnataka regions. The monsoon line is currently moving across a number of important locations, including Asansol in West Bengal, Dehri on Son in Bihar and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, according to the meteorological service.

According to the IMD, Karnataka will likely have severe to extremely heavy rains, with some areas potentially experiencing extremely heavy precipitation. The India Meteorological Department states that there is a very good chance of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas of Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and Karnataka. In certain areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, severe rainfall is predicted by IMD. However Dehradun and Ranchi would have cloudy sky today. Ranchi may have light rain while Dehradun can have few spells of rainfall.

The Meteorological Department of India Department (IMD) has predicted that Wednesday would be mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain or thunderstorms in Delhi. The minimum temperature will drop to 25 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will reach 36 degrees.
