Weather Update: The most recent weather advisory indicates that West and Central India will likely see light to moderate rainfall that is predicted to be very widespread. In addition, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of strong rainfall in many areas across the nation. There will be a mix of partly overcast skies and sporadic light to moderate rain showers across Mumbai and its suburbs. Mumbai is expected to see a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. The weather service foresees thundershowers and light rain over Delhi-NCR, along with a mainly cloudy sky. However, rainfall in the Delhi-NCR, the capital of India, has resulted in a notable decrease in temperature. The expected minimum temperature of the city will be likely 25 degree Celsius as per the IMD forecast.

These cities may also receive rainfall

In many parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the rain also brought reprieve from the heat. IMD predicts light showers in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The same is predicted for Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand. According to the forecast of IMD, the capital of Bihar, Patna will have a cloudy sky throughout the day. The city may face few spells of rainfall. The maximum temperature of the capital city predicted by the IMD can go upto 35 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department reports that today it will bring strong sunshine to the Malwa-Nimar region, which includes the divisions of Indore and Ujjain. In addition to this, there is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorms to the divisions of Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior. According to the Pune Meteorological Department, Nashik will get light to moderate rainfall and strong gusts over the next three days. According to scientists from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), exceptionally heavy rainfall is predicted for Gujarat’s Saurashtra and Kutch areas.

The India Meteorological Department reports that isolated areas of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka are very likely to see heavy to very severe rainfall. The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in states like Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. However, in Kerala and Karnataka, there have been isolated reports of heavy rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department.
