Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, rain is anticipated to continue for the next three days across North and Northwest India. The isolated light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning that occurred on March 1-2 in the central regions of the country Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha will continue into Chhattisgarh upto March 5. There have been worries expressed about potential lightning-related emergencies, especially in the northern alpine regions like Kashmir, Ladakh and Uttarakhand where precipitation and snowfall are predicted. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that Monday in the nation’s capital, Delhi, could see a light rain with a minimum temperature of 13.7 degrees Celsius.

IMD projects the distribution of rainfall or snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and a few other locations including Uttarakhand. Distribution of precipitation in isolated locations throughout Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and East Rajasthan. Thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) are likely to occur in isolated locations over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh etc.
