Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that Mumbai and its suburbs will primarily see cloudy skies with periods of moderate to heavy rain. Due to the expected heavy rains and the possibility of thundershowers in certain locations, an orange alert has been issued for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, which includes many districts including Patna and Lucknow. However light rain is predicted for Delhi throughout the day, and the typically gloomy sky suggests that more rain may fall.

IMD forecasts heavy to extremely heavy rainfall throughout West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Meghalaya, with isolated areas expected to see extremely heavy falls. The Meteorological department has issued warnings for several districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Indore and Bhopal, indicating that additional intense rain is expected today. In Chennai, the high temperature is predicted to reach 35 degrees Celsius, while the low is predicted to drop to 27 degrees.
