Weather Update: Rain in Delhi and Mumbai; check conditions in Ranchi, Kolkata, Patna

Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department reports that there is a strong probability of heavy rainfall in various areas of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Sindhudurg and Dhule. These districts are under a yellow alert. With exceptionally heavy downpours predicted in the area, the weather Department has issued a red alert for northwest Jharkhand for today. Major areas of the state, including Ranchi, the state capital, are under an orange alert, according to the IMD. It will be mostly cloudy with light rain during the day, according to the weather Department. It’s probable that the highest temperature will hover around 35 degrees Celsius.

Weather Update: Know about some of the major cities

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a deep depression that originated over is moving towards Bihar. Many districts are having heavy rainfall throughout the day and the state’s capital, Patna, may see a downpour whole day for today. According to IMD, many districts of West Bengal, including Kolkata, are predicted to continue to experience heavy showers and lightning. In Kolkata, the high and low temperatures are anticipated to be at 31°C and 26°C, respectively. The IMD predicts a typically cloudy sky with light rain in Delhi on Sunday. The highest and minimum temperatures are expected to remain at 35 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.

According to the IMD, there could be isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Assam and Meghalaya. However, heavy rains have been reported in several areas of Himachal Pradesh, where the event of Cloud burst has happened earlier. Additionally, the heavy rain is also predicted in some parts of the states like Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, according to the India Meteorological Department.
