Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for several states in northern India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh during the end of the month. The forecast also predicts a rise in temperatures in Delhi and the National Capital Region and plains (NCR) until the new weather activity starts i.e. 31st March. This rise in temperature will continue today as well.
The weather report predicts a gradual increase in maximum temperature by two to four degree Celsius over the next three days, followed by a fall of similar magnitude over the subsequent three days. There is no forecast of heat wave in any part of the country over the next five days.
Delhi
The day is forecast to remain mostly clear in the day, however, the mornings will be engulfed with a partially overcast sky. The maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 18 degrees.
Mumbai
As per the latest weather update, the city and its suburbs are predicted to remain sunny and clear. Though, some isolated pockets could be cloudy. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and the minimum will be 24 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai is also forecast to be partially cloudy. Though, nothing significant is predicted for the region in terms of rain. The maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.

Kolkata
IMD predicts Kolkata to be clear and only partially cloudy. However, the relief would be for today only as heavy rains are projected in the city from tomorrow onwards. The maximum temperature will be 34 degrees and minimum will be 25 degrees.
