Weather Update: According to the IMD, there would be heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across many regions of the nation. It can cover from northern, central to southern regions. Meanwhile, this indicates that the monsoon is currently present in almost every region of the country. As per the forecast of Indian Meteorological Department, Mumbai is likely to have cloudy weather with the possibility of moderate rain later in the day. The Meteorological Department’s projection of heavy rainfall jas given a hope for the residents of Punjab that they might get some relief from the unbearable heat and humidity in the coming days.

However, Delhi has been listed as one of the “areas of concern” in the National Flash Flood Guidance Bulletin, according to the weather Department. The Meteorological Department predicts that rainy weather will persist in the coming weekend. In addition to Delhi, other regions of the National Capital Region (NCR) may also see lightning, thunder, and rain. The city is under a red alert for rainfall. According to the forecast of IMD, Ranchi and Lucknow can have partial cloudy sky with the possibility of rainfall.

According to the IMD, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will likely have severe to extremely heavy rains, with some areas potentially experiencing extremely heavy falls. The India Meteorological Department reports that there has been heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas over Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, and some areas of Karnataka. The IMD forecasts significant rainfall in certain areas across Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and parts of Karnataka.
