Weather Update: The national capital will have a partly overcast sky for the duration of the day, as per the weather prediction. According to a forecast released by the Meteorological Centre Shimla, there will be rain all day long in many areas of the state. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that there will be cloudy skies and moderate rain or drizzle for the rest of the day in Mumbai and its surrounding areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms which could provide much-needed reprieve from the extreme heat for Delhi, Lucknow and its surrounding areas.
With a maximum temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, there should be some respite from the recent heat wave in Delhi. Mumbai’s temperature is predicted to average roughly 28.3°C, with a range of minimum 26°C to maximum 33°C. However Patna and Dehradun would have partly cloudy sky while Ranchi will have possibility of rainfall along with lightning.

According to IMD, there will likely be heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in various areas of Karnataka, with exceptionally heavy precipitation. The IMD forecast calls for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain locations over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Goa and Karnataka. There have been heavy downpours in several areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Lakshadweep, Telangana and Karnataka.
