Weather Update: Relief in Delhi & Rains in Kolkata – When will the weather shift gear? Know the latest IMD forecast here

Weather Update: Recently, in several states across North and Central India, unexpected rain and hailstorm have brought relief to those who were struggling with the scorching heat. However, it looks like this relief may be short-lived as the Meteorological Department has warned that starting from March 24th, there may be another round of heavy rain, hailstorm, and strong winds in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan and Delhi.

This unseasonal rain and hailstorm has abated the effect of heatwave and provided relief to the natives as the unprecedented rise in temperature had started severely impacting several regions by the end of February itself. However, this has led to the loss of farmers as withstanding crops have got destroyed with rains.

Delhi

The national capital is predicted to remain partly overcast today and have pleasant weather overall. No rains are predicted for tomorrow as well in the Delhi-NCR region. For today, the maximum temperature will be 27 degrees and the minimum will be 17 degrees.

Mumbai

As per the latest weather update, the city and its suburbs are predicted to be covered with moderate cloud cover in some or other regions with clear skies and sunny atmosphere in the majority of regions. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 31 degrees and the minimum will be 25 degrees.

Chennai

Chennai will remain pleasant today. However, from tomorrow onwards, heavy rains are predicted in the city once again. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and minimum will be 27 degrees.

Kolkata

IMD has predicted that this week will mostly remain pleasant in Kolkata. However, from Sunday onwards, heavy rains will take on Kolkata for a few days. For today, the sky will mostly be clear. The maximum temperature will be 30 degrees and minimum will be 22 degrees.
