Weather Update: According to the India Meteorological Department, the cold wave conditions in certain areas of north India subsided on Thursday, and a second round of extremely cold weather is unlikely to occur during the next five days. On Thursday, parts of south Haryana, east Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar saw cold wave conditions, according to the weather service.
Over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan, and west Uttar Pradesh, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are probable from January 23 through January 25 and 26. A area experiences a shift in wind direction as a western disturbance, a meteorological system characterised by warm, moist winds from the Middle East, approaches.
Delhi
The national capital will get a relief from coldwave as the temperature is predicted to climb a few notches. The day, too, is predicted to reel under sun with no clouds. For today, the maximum weather temperature will be 21 degrees while the minimum will be 9 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD predicts the city and its suburbs to continue with the similar weather trend. No major shift is predicted as of now. Today also, the the day will be sunny and bright. For today, the maximum temperature will be 28 degrees and minimum will be 19 degrees.
Chennai
The sun will most likely stay out in Chennai. Partial cloud cover, however, might have an impact in isolated regions. Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures are both forecast to be 29 and 24 degrees, respectively.
Kolkata
It is expected to be sunny today in Kolkata. After today, the city’s weather is expected to remain consistent for a number of days. The forecast for today’s maximum and minimum temperatures is for 26 and 15, respectively.

What is the Weather Update for upcoming days?
According to the meteorological service, two western disturbances that are predicted to hit the area in short succession would cause the cold wave conditions to subside starting yesterday & today. On January 23–24, a second western disturbance is expected to affect Delhi and northwest India, bringing light to heavy rain and a hailstorm with winds reaching to 50 km/h.
