Weather Update: As per the IMD forecast, there is a possibility of light, isolated rainfall or snowfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh in the next two days. In the following three to four days, there is a possibility of moderate, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall or snowfall. It is quite likely that on February 1st, there will be isolated to scattered rainfall in Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan, and light to moderate dispersed to fairly widespread rainfall throughout Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Delhi. On February 3 and 4, 2024, there will most likely be light, isolated rainfall over the aforementioned areas.

IMD forecasts that there will likely be dense to extremely dense fog in some areas of Northern Plains across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi; isolated pockets of dense fog over Uttar Pradesh; and isolated pockets of intense fog over Odisha. There’s a good chance of isolated areas of heavy rain or snowfall in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. Thunderstorm, lightning, and hailstorm are likely to be present in isolated locations over Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh; Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi are likely to have lightning, along with gusty winds (between 30 and 40 kmph); and Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, east Assam, Nagaland, and Manipur are likely to have lightning.
