Weather Update: The weather department says that during the course of the next four days, there may be sporadic snowfall and rain in certain areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh. The agency identified the reason for the weather as being caused by western disturbances. The IMD predicts little rain for Assam, Meghalaya and other states. The Safdarjung Observatory in Delhi reported a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. This was the lowest March temperature in the previous five years, according to the Observatory. The India Meteorological Department stated that new snowfall and showers are predicted to continue in the western Himalayan area.

According to IMD, a cyclonic circulation is located in lower tropospheric levels over interior Odisha and its surrounding areas. It is expected to have an isolated rainfall effect on Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. To the north of Latitude 25°N, a trough in the westerlies at lower tropospheric levels generally follows Longitude 93°E. Over the course of the next seven days, Arunachal Pradesh is expected to have scattered light to moderate rainfall or snowfall due to the current Western Disturbance’s eastward track. Isolated downpour is probably across Meghalaya and Assam. There is a high probability of isolated thunderstorms with lightning over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzafarabad and Himachal Pradesh.
