Weather Update: The Meteorological Department reports that rain alerts have been issued in certain places due to anticipated changes in Central India’s weather patterns. Even though winter is almost over in many parts of several states, the temperature may still dip following the rain. The Meteorological Department reports that the minimum temperature in Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, and North Rajasthan is between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius. This has changed the weather conditions from the existing one. It is quite possible that there will be light, isolated rainfall over Kerala on February 14th, Telangana on February 10th and 11th, Tamilnadu on February 9th and 10th, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh on February 9th.

The IMD has forecast light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall and snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim on February 9. Additionally, there is likely to be isolated rainfall activity over Assam, Meghalaya, and Odisha on February 9 along with the upper regions. In Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh, isolated to scattered light rainfall activity is probable due to the effect of a trough/cyclonic circulation across the central sections of the country. In isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh and Punjab on February 9, 2024, cold wave conditions are highly likely to occur. In some isolated areas of Uttarakhand on February 9, there is a high probability of ground frost conditions.
