Weather Update: April is forecast to close in with a rainy note in most of parts of India. As per the latest update, fairly widespread rains and thunderstorms are expected to affect several states across India. In the eastern region, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand may experience these weather conditions, while Assam and Sikkim can anticipate scattered showers and thunderstorms. Moving to the northern part of the country, Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, and Ladakh may witness fairly widespread rains or snow, accompanied by localized thunderstorms and hail. Similarly, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also likely to experience these weather patterns.
In the western states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, isolated rainfall is expected, providing some relief to the dry conditions. Down south, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are likely to see scattered showers and thunderstorms, contributing to the maintenance of their lush landscapes. Moreover, isolated rainfall accompanied by lightning is possible in Nagaland, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Delhi
As per the latest forecast by IMD, the national capital is likely to remain partly overcast today with patches of clouds. From tomorrow onwards, the day will remain mostly cloudy and and the region will be lashed by rains beginning from Saturday. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs are predicted to remain hazy and pleasant, while a drop in temperature is also likely. Humidity will remain at 77%. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 32 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai is likely to remain partly overcast today with a sunny sky in the afternoon. There is no change likely for the upcoming two days. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 33 degrees and the minimum will be 28 degrees.
Kolkata
IMD forecasts a rainy day today for Kolkata and upcoming days as well. The day will mostly remain cloudy with scattered thunderstorms. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.
