Weather Update: The Meteorological Department anticipates that the intense heat will persist in places like Gwalior, Kharagpur, and Khandwa, where heatwaves may occur and uncomfortable winds will exacerbate the situation. Furthermore, there is a good chance of thunderstorms, gusty winds, and heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Northeast India. On Saturday, the unprecedented heatwave that was plaguing east India and portions of the southern peninsula region persisted, with at least 13 locations reporting temperatures above 44 degrees Celsius. The meteorological office has forecast that there might be hot day in Delhi. However, it may have gloomy sky throughout the day, with a chance of precipitation in Delhi. Meanwhile Kolkata and Ranchi are anticipated to have sultry conditions in the daytime.

IMD forecasts that there will likely be isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, as well as heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Konkan, Gujarat State, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala are anticipated to see hot and muggy weather. It is quite probable that isolated areas of the Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and certain regions of Karnataka may experience heat wave conditions. It is highly probable that certain areas of South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka may experience warm nighttime temperatures.
