Weather Update: It is likely that some parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands will get heavy precipitation. You have to keep yourself updated and make the appropriate safety measures based on the forecast. The IMD predicts that strong rains would likely persist in a number of South Indian states, including Tamil Nadu. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have a high chance of isolated thunderstorms with lightning. Over the Andaman Sea, squally weather with wind gusts up to 55 kmph and speeds between 40 and 45 kmph is most likely to occur. Fishermen are urged to stay away from these areas.

Know the weather fluctuation in Delhi

The AQI numbers are surprising in a way because Delhi has had periods of extremely poor air quality in the last several days. Beginning on October 28, the city’s air quality varied from “very poor” to “severe” for two weeks, during which time residents of the nation’s capital were reported to be in a state of distress. The primary cause of Delhi’s noticeable improvement in air quality right before Diwali was reportedly the city’s sporadic rainfall. In many parts of Delhi, the weather had improved significantly since the rains before the festival. But after the pollution increased in just after Diwali due to the burning of crackers and other ritual things. Hence the AQI again goes up from “very poor” to “severe”.
