Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, active western disturbances in February are no longer expected. This explains why there wasn’t much of a weather shift. Isolated to scattered rainfall throughout Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur & Tripura on February 7, and light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall extremely possible over Arunachal Pradesh.
Dense fog in these regions early in the morning
According to IMD, on February 7, 2024, severe fog conditions are expected to dominate in the early morning hours in certain areas of north Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha, as well as over Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Tripura. In scattered regions over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, cold wave conditions are most likely to occur. There is a chance of having thick cloud conditions in Delhi NCR and nearby areas today. There is also a high probability of isolated thunderstorms with lightning over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland. Minimum temperatures in several regions of Northwest, East, and Central India are expected to drop by two to three degrees Celsius during the next three days, with no more notable changes.
