Weather Update: According to the IMD, the current heatwave in parts of Southern and Eastern India will last till May 6 before starting to ease. In certain parts of the nation, there is a crisis including rain, thunder, and storms. IMD has issued a warning regarding rainfall in numerous states across the nation. The India Meteorological Department reports that Delhi’s minimum temperature on Sunday was 22.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees below the season’s normal. The agency has forecast high surface winds throughout the day and a high of 41 degrees Celsius for Delhi today.

According to the IMD, there will be likely rainfall in few parts of the nation including across Assam and Meghalaya. The same is predicted for selected parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and West Bengal. Over Uttar Pradesh( including Lucknow) and few parts of Bihar like Patna have strong surface winds which are most likely to prevail. It is quite probable that parts of Jharkhand, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala may have hot weather. It is quite probable that areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana, and Karnataka could experience heat wave conditions.
