Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has expected a change in the weather, citing rain and thunderstorms for a few regions in its forecast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms for the nation’s capital and a few other states for several days beginning today. Residents of Delhi NCR in particular had begun to feel the end of winter, but that is not the case. In addition to Delhi NCR, a few other states, including Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh (UP), have also been forecast to have weather comparable to this. The upper regions are expected to have gusty gusts and partly overcast and hazy conditions today.

IMD forecasts that there will likely be isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall or snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzafarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Significant snowfall and rain in certain areas of Uttarakhand and Punjab. Thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds (50–60 kmph) with a high probability of isolated hailstorms over Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh; isolated hailstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand; isolated lightning strikes over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit–Baltistan–Muzaffarabad, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. A partly overcast sky is expected over Delhi, along with strong surface winds that may gust to 40–50 km/h.
