Weather Update: The Meteorological Department said that in the next several days, there can be even more extreme cold in some parts of North India. Even in February, there is a chance of rain in North India and snowfall in some areas. The cold is getting worse every day in several areas of the nation. Snowfall disrupted daily life in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. In addition, a large number of flights were cancelled, and all roads, including national highways, were off-limits to cars. The Meteorological Department reports that the Western Himalayas may get some light rain and snowfall over the course of the next 24 hours. Some areas of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Bihar could see light rain.

According to the IMD, there will likely be isolated patches of dense to extremely dense fog in the morning over Punjab and isolated pockets of dense fog across Haryana-Chandigarh, north Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and Odisha. There is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms with lightning and hail over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, as well as isolated lightning over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh and in some areas of Jaipur. There is a good chance of isolated areas of heavy rain or snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh.
