Weather Update: The nation’s weather bureau, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), has issued severe heatwave red advisories for Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, indicating that there may be heatwave conditions in the upcoming days. The Regional Meteorological Department (RMD) predicts that the intense rains that have pounded several districts in Tamil Nadu would last for a few more days. A red alert has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in response to extreme heatwave conditions in the nation’s capital. Schools that have not yet closed for the summer are required to do so immediately by the Delhi government.

According to the IMD, there will be likely few locations where there is a possibility of rainfall with exceptionally heavy falls over Kerala. The few parts of Tamil Nadu( including Chennai), Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Karnataka and Maharashtra ( including Mumbai) would have hot day. The Heat wave conditions are expected to be prevalent in many areas of states like Rajasthan and West Bengal (including Kolkata).The same is predicted for selected parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh( including Lucknow).
