Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department predicts that there would be a cloudy sky in Delhi on this Independence Day. It also predicts that the national capital may have moderate rain today. The Prime Minister Modi will hoist the national flag at Red Fort. He is scheduled to address the nation at nearly 7:30 AM. As per the IMD forecast, there are varying possibilities of having rain at that time. However, the expected maximum temperature of the city can be 33 degree Celsius, which is 2 degrees lesser than the previous day in the city. Additionally, the minimum temperature of the city is predicted to be 26 degree Celsius according to the forecast of IMD.
However, Ghaziabad is also expected to have the same range of minimum and maximum temperature as Delhi. The chances of rainfall in Ghaziabad is expected to have a spell of one or two times which may be accompanied with thundershowers.

The India Meteorological Department predicts that there will likely be heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in some areas of Rajasthan, Karnataka and Kerala. IMD forecasts that there will be likely isolated areas of heavy rainfall in the states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep. However, the same has been predicted for some parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim and Karnataka.
