Weather Update: Persistent rainfall is causing widespread issues in several states across the country. During this rainy season, the Meteorological Department has released a significant announcement. The IMD has issued a rainfall alert for various states, including West Bengal, Gujarat, Konkan, and Goa, with heavy rain anticipated in these regions.
Isolated regions in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Konkan and Goa are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall is also anticipated in scattered areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe. Additionally, isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, and Mahe may witness thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds.
Thunderstorms and lightning are possible in isolated locations across East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, and Lakshadweep.
Delhi
The national capital will continue to remain warm & humid. No relief is currently anticipated for the region as the sunny sky will continue to remain in Delhi. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees while the minimum will be 23 degrees with humidity at 61%.
Mumbai
Mumbai has been forecast to begin the day with isolated thundershowers. The day will, then, remain mostly cloudy with thunderstorms lashing the city once again during the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 83%.
Chennai
As per the latest weather update, Chennai will remain mostly engulfed by the clouds. However, there will be isolated thunderstorms during the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 71%.
Kolkata
IMD has predicted that Kolkata will remain mostly engulfed in the clouds. Rains are unlikely in the city. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 85%.
