Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms predicted in these regions
There’s a good chance of isolated areas of heavy rainfall in Kerala, Mahe, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu. There is a high probability of isolated thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) across Kerala and Mahe, as well as isolated thunderstorms with lightning over Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. In the meantime, Southeast Peninsular India is experiencing strong Easterly/Northeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal, and a cyclonic circulation is present in lower tropospheric levels over the Comorin region. This meteorological phenomenon is expected to cause rains in a number of southern Indian states.
