Weather Update: Rainfall is widespread across India, with the IMD forecasting further rain in eastern and northern regions. However, Delhi can expect a cloudy day with thunderstorms, lightning and moderate rain. The daily meteorological report from IMD cautions that there may be some rainfall as well as widespread light to moderate rain in various parts of Uttar Pradesh, including the state capital, Lucknow. Gorakhpur can expect overcast skies with a chance of light to moderate showers and thunderstorms, while Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh is likely to receive scattered rainfall, as predicted by the India Meteorological Department.

The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for Tamilnadu. It can be speculated that strong rains are expected to lash out across the state. With a maximum temperature of about 35°C and a minimum temperature of between 27 and 28°C, Chennai residents should expect partly cloudy skies, light to moderate rain. This may be accompanied with thundershowers and lightning in some of its area. According to the most recent Mumbai weather report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in Mumbai on Friday. Mumbai’s minimum temperature will be 26 degrees Celsius, and the city’s maximum temperature is predicted to reach 32 degrees Celsius.

The IMD states that there is a high probability of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas across Rajasthan, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Kerala and Karnataka. The India Meteorological Department also predicts that there is a very good chance of heavy rainfall in some areas of the states like West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. However, the same has been predicted for some parts of Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh along with Sub-Himalayan regions.
