Weather Update: There can be significant rainfall in Delhi today, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued the yellow alert in the national capital. The prolonged rains that have brought much-needed respite from the heat have caused a significant change in the weather in Delhi-NCR. The Weather Department has predicted that Delhi, NCR may get thundershowers and lightning in addition to light to moderate rainfall. The majority of northwest and central India, as well as the northern peninsula of India, are expected to have heavy rainfall, according to a warning from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

As per the most recent Mumbai weather report, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rainfall in Mumbai on Friday. A yellow alert has been issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Mumbai for heavy rain in isolated areas of Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune, Satara and Nagpur. However, Mumbai’s minimum temperature is predicted to be recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, while the city’s maximum temperature is predicted to reach 30 degrees Celsius. As per the IMD forecast, the capital city of Jharkhand, Ranchi may face cloudy sky in the day time, which may be accompanied with few spells of rainfall. The maximum temperature of the city is predicted to be 31 degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department’s prognosis indicates that there can be significant rain today in a number of districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow. The IMD has issued a yellow notice for seven districts of West Bengal, including Kolkata, due to the probability of light to heavy rains and thundershowers.

The India Meteorological Department predicts that heavy to extremely heavy rains are likely to persist in various areas of Odisha and Karnataka. The IMD also reports heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several areas of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana and Karnataka. According to the IMD, there can be heavy rain in certain areas of Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. However, the same has been predicted for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Goa and Karnataka.
