Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted significant rainfall in Odisha and several other northern and southern states, with the potential for exceptionally heavy showers in isolated locations. The department issued a forecast for moderate to heavy rainfall in Mumbai and its outskirts at the beginning of the Shravan month. Furthermore, there is a yellow alert for heavy rain in certain areas of the Thane and Palghar districts today, according to the weather update. The meteorological department of India is forecasting a generally cloudy sky with light rain for Delhi on Monday, with high and low temperatures expected to hover around 37 and 28 degrees Celsius. The IMD has also forecast a lot of rain, with the potential for extraordinarily intense showers in Lucknow.

The IMD is predicting heavy to very heavy rains, with the possibility of extremely severe falls in several areas of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The India Meteorological Department reports that there is a chance of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several locations throughout Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh(including Lucknow), Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Maharashtra. In Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala, severe rainfall is predicted by IMD in several areas.

Weather Update: Temperature of some major cities

As per the IMD forecast, Delhi would have generally cloudy sky with moderate rainfall. However Patna would have partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light rainfall. These are the following predicted maximum temperature of the prominent cities.

For the past two days, there have been sporadic, intense showers throughout Mumbai and the neighbouring areas. Mumbai is expected to see a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.
