Weather Update: Overnight, significant rainfall happened in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), helping down to lower the temperature. The region may get rain over the next three days as well, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

On Saturday and Sunday, there will generally be clouds in the sky and light rain. Mumbai had significant rains in various locations, which left the area severely waterlogged. Following the IMD’s heavy rain warning, the Tehri district magistrate in Uttarakhand ordered that schools and Anganwadi centres be closed for a day. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh is predicted to receive severe rain until Monday.
Delhi
In the latest weather update, IMD has predicted that the sky will remain generally cloudy and a significant rainfall will also take place. In the morning also, many parts of Delhi-NCR were wrenched in rain.
Mumbai
IMD has issued a yellow alert for the city and its suburbs. Due to heavy rains from past few days, the city is waterlogged extensively. The weather is expected to remain similar for a few days more.
Chennai
Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected to lash the city today as well. With, already extensive rainfall in isolated parts, the city is expected to log more.
Heavy rainfall expected in these states
Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh are predicted to receive very heavy rainfall today. Widespread rain with thunderstorms are likely over West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rayalaseema. Meanwhile, Northeast India is also predicted to recieve heavy rainfall.

Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and West Rajasthan will receive fairly widespread rains with thunderstorms.
These states are predicted to receive significant rainfall
Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan, West Bengal, Sikkim, East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region, Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and South Interior Karnataka are predicted to reciev fairly widespread rainfall with a cloudy sky today.
