Weather Update: There are rain alerts for several regions of the country issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), with Delhi NCR receiving a yellow alert for heavy rains. Kerala is under an “orange alert,” according to the India Meteorological Department, because of strong rains. The remaining six state districts have also received a yellow notice for the day from IMD. In Delhi, the high temperature for the day is probably going to be about 38°C. For Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Ratnagiri, IMD has issued an orange alert, and for Raigad, a red alert. Additionally, the areas of Jharkhand, including Ranchi, are expected to see extremely severe rains, according to the IMD.

As per the IMD, there will be likely isolated locations of heavy to very heavy rainfall across Goa and certain regions of Karnataka. The Indian Meteorological Department predicts that there will be likely isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in parts of Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala. In various areas of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Karnataka, severe rainfall is predicted by IMD.

As per the IMD forecast, Dehradun would have cloudy sky with the possibility of heavy rainfall. However Patna would have partially cloudy sky which may be followed by rainfall.
