Before the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the political mercury has risen again in the name of Lord Rama. Earlier the politics were about who owns the land but now it is about the trust board who will be responsible for the construction of it. The main trust who were supposed to build the temple is surrounded with the various allegation of corruptions.
Amidst the allegations, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has sent its report to the Central Government on the entire dispute. The trust has denied the allegations, saying that there has been a political conspiracy against them and there is no scam.
The trust has also sent a report to the BJP where it stated they have has given complete information on the purchase of land. Along with this, detailed explanation they also sent the billing of land purchased. The trust has said that these allegations are being made by the opponents of BJP.
The trust has claimed that the land was taken at prime time and hence the cost is high. The cost of the land is Rs 1,423 per sq ft, which is much less than the current prices of land in nearby areas. They further said that talks were going on for 10 years regarding the deal of this land. From day one it was decided that all payments would be made directly into the account itself and this has been done.
