Why is India Keeping a Close Watch on Khalistani Terrorist Arsh Dalla’s Arrest in Canada? Check

Two of Dalla’s alleged aides were apprehended in Punjab on Sunday for their involvement in the killing of Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau in Faridkot last month.

India Canada Relation: Amid unconfirmed reports of the arrest of designated pro-Khalistan “terrorist” Arshdeep Singh Gill, also known as Arsh Dalla, by Canadian authorities in Ontario, tensions between India and Canada have escalated further. Two of Dalla’s alleged aides were apprehended in Punjab on Sunday for their involvement in the killing of Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau in Faridkot last month.

Protests Over Temple Attack in Canada

In a separate development, Canadian police arrested a Brampton resident for his role in a violent protest at the Hindu Sabha Temple on November 3. This attack has heightened diplomatic strain, leading members of the Hindu Sikh Global Forum to march toward the Canadian High Commission in Chanakyapuri, Delhi. Carrying placards with messages like “Canada Ke Mandir Par Akraman, Nahi Sahega Hindustan” (India will not tolerate attacks on temples in Canada), protestors also voiced their opposition to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Hindu Sikh Global Forum Condemns Anti-India Sentiment

Tarvinder Singh Marwah, President of the Hindu Sikh Global Forum, highlighted the longstanding impact of pro-Khalistani activities, including militancy, drug infiltration, and recent acts of religious intolerance. “When they saw Punjab thriving, they targeted our youth with drugs, and now they are targeting religious spaces,” he said, emphasizing the unity within the community against these challenges.

Punjab Police’s Crackdown on Pro-Khalistan Associates

The Punjab Police announced the arrests of Anmolpreet Singh, alias Vishal, and Navjot Singh, alias Neetu, who are alleged associates of Arsh Dalla. Authorities claimed these arrests prevented at least four potential target killings and resolved several high-profile cases, including a murder in Madhya Pradesh.

Increased Security at Canadian Mission in Delhi

Following the march, Delhi Police heightened security around the Canadian High Commission, ensuring no untoward incidents occurred. With diplomatic ties strained and community protests ongoing, Indian authorities and citizens alike are calling for stronger international action against pro-Khalistan activities and greater protection for religious spaces abroad.
